Tennessee death metalers WHITECHAPEL’s Metal Blade debut This is Exile hit stores everywhere on July 8th 2008 with an exceptional response from retail, fans, and critics alike. It seems that all of the band’s hard work has paid off as This is Exile debuted at #117 in the Billboard Top 200 Charts, #2 in the Billboard Heatseekers Chart (New Artist Chart), #13 Billboard Hard Music Chart, #14 Billboard Independent Albums Chart, #43 Billboard Rock Chart, and #51 Billboard Tastemakers Chart
We're very excited about the first week’s numbers and the success of This Is Exile. We're very grateful to have the best fans out there backing us and supporting us by buying the record. We couldn't have asked for a better team pushing us with the combination of the great people at Metal Blade Records, our manager Shawn at The Artery Foundation, our agent Matt Pike at The Kenmore Agency, and our producers for the album Jonny Fay and Zuess. Without those driving forces we would be nothing” comments Whitechapel.
Make sure to check out WHITECHAPEL live when they tear through your city on Summer Slaughter with label mates The Black Dahlia Murder.
