Here’s what vocalist Trevor Strnad had to say about winning the Best Underground Band award:
It is a huge honor for our band to be selected as the best underground group of 2008. We truly believe that “Nocturnal” is our best work, and we were very proud to deliver the album to our fans and will continue to take this Black Dahlia war machine to the utmost extreme as long as our hearts do beat. The boys in my band are very hard working guys, and our love and respect for each other is what makes this entity so strong. It feels so great to be recognized on the European shores, where metal is taken so much more seriously than in our homeland of the US. This award is about the highest compliment that can be paid to a young band like ours. Hats off to our brothers in Municipal Waste, who I thought would surely beat us and are just as deserving of this award… you guys fucking rule!
