An all-too metal meeting of the minds was arranged earlier in the year in an unknown location in the California mountains. Northern California’s EMBRACE THE END and ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS were among those in attendance. Despite the exchange of party favors and a stirring rendition of “Kumbaya,” very little of substance was accomplished. However, there was an undeniable chemistry circulating amongst the members involved, and it was decided upon by unanimous vote that these brave men would take it upon themselves to spread mid-year cheer to a destitute nation in dire need of a sonic beatdown. With Carnifex, Conducting From the Grave and Broadcast the Nightmare in tow, EMBRACE THE END and ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS will deliver said beatdown with unbridled fury.
EMBRACE THE END’s Century Media debut, Ley Lines, is also now available. The band holed up with producer du jour Zach Ohren (As Blood Runs Black, Arsonists Get All the Girls) and gave Paul Romano (Mastodon, Trivium) artistic license to get his paint on. If you were with the band in their Abacus days for Counting Hallways to the Left then you know how deft this band can be in melding technical death metal, grind and hardcore. Obviously, the bases are covered on this one, and you can run them yourself as the entire album is streaming at the band’s new e-card at http://www.centurymedia.com/eCard/EmbraceTheEnd/ecard/
EMBRACE THE END are currently on tour with Heaven Shall Burn and The Ghost Inside. This is Heaven Shall Burn’s first tour of the states, and the band is honored to be direct support. Soon afterward they join Animosity, First Blood and For the Fallen Dreams for a quick run leading into this month-long trek with Carnifex and company |
