Thursday, 6/7/07 7:00PM @ Sokol Auditorium HATEBREED w/ Godforbid, Evergreen Terrace, Terror, The Acacia Strain, & After The Burial TICKETS: $18 ADV / $21 DOS  The New Haven, CT-based Hatebreed got together in 1993 for the purpose of creating a "back to basics" hardcore band with heavy, metallic guitars, screaming vocals, and 30-second songs. Consisting of Jamey Jasta (vocals), Lou "Boulder" Richards (guitar), Chris Beattie (bass), Sean Martin (guitar), and Rigg Ross (drums), Hatebreed had the chance to play throughout the East Coast while sharing the stage with the likes of Entombed, the Deftones, Slayer, and Napalm Death. By 1997, Victory Records released the quintet's debut full-length, entitled Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire. The group signed with Stillborn/Republic/Universal for 2002's Perseverance and 2003's Rise of Brutality. Supremacy arrived on Roadrunner Records in 2006, featuring new guitarist Frank Novinec (who'd previously spent time playing with Ringworm, Terror, and Integrity Saturday, 6/9/07 9:00PM @ Knickerbockers - 18+ LOCAL H TICKETS: $10 ADV / $12 DOS Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Local H is a two-man wrecking crew, a powerhouse invigorated by the mania of former Triple Fast Action drummer Brian St. Clair's punishing backbeat, and driven by the distinct lyric and melodic vision of guitarist/vocalist Scott Lucas. Having achieved mainstream success with their second album, As Good As Dead, and fueled by the multi-format hit single "Bound For The Floor," Local H always has continued to bring the noise. Alongside writing, recording, and releasing records, Local H has maintained a remarkable touring schedule - and an incredibly loyal fan base to match.
