Former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott has teamed up with members of MUDVAYNE and NOTHINGFACE in a brand new project, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. The group has been writing and recording material in Dallas, Texas for what will eventually become its debut album, tentatively due in early 2007. A name has already been selected for the band, but has not yet been revealed, the sources said. The group's lineup is as follows:
Chad Gray (MUDVAYNE) - Vocals
Greg Tribbett (MUDVAYNE) - Guitar
Tom Maxwell (NOTHINGFACE) - Guitar
Jerry Montano (DANZIG, NOTHINGFACE) - Bass
Vinnie Paul Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) - Drums |

VADER have just returned from a very successful US tournee alongside DESTRUCTION and KATAKLYSM. A few weeks before the upcoming premiere of band's new full lenght album "Impressions In Blood" (out on Regain Records September 4th) the guys are ready to reveal some details. The track entitled "Warlords" is available now for free download from MP3 section. The band is going to shoot a promotional videoclip for another track namely "Helleluyah!!! (God is Dead)". And finally, the new VADER's album will contain the following songs: 1. Between Day and Night, 2. ShadowsFear, 3. As Heavens Collide..., 4. Helleluyah!!! (God is Dead), 5. Field of Heads, 6. Predator, 7. Warlords, 8. Red Code, 9. Amongst the Ruins, 10. They Live!!!, 11. The Book. On the upcoming Blitzkrieg 4 tour the band is going to play 5 new songs.
We would also like to present you the new album's artwork made by Greek multi-artist Seth. The new website design is under construction. Stay tuned for more details and some new files to download!

CANDLEMASS mainman, songwriter and bassist Leif Edling has tuned in to enlighten fans of the living Swedish Doom legend a tiny bit regarding the whole Messiah issue: "It is hotter than hell right now (in sweden anyway) and most of you doomlovers are on vacation. So are we. And we do get worried questions though about what is going on in the band regarding Messiah and the new album.
I can’t really say if Messiah will sing on the upcoming album or not, but the last thing I heard was a little bit positive. Let us hope that it becomes 100% certain it will happen. It’s all between Messiah and the label now you see. It is summer holiday time don’t forget. I hope this issue can be solved soon as we need to carry on the work on the new album.
The past months hasn’t exactly been the best time for Candlemass. Myself, Lars, Mappe and Jan are pretty frustrated over the current singer situation, but we will solve it. Somehow.
We got a great C-mass album in the pipeline, we will not waste that! If Messiah sings or not is really up to the man himself now." Let`s all hope mighty Messiah will truly return!
The release of the new and yet untitled CANDLEMASS album is tentatively schedule for release on February 2nd, 2007, on Nuclear Blast.
