I recently had the chance to conduct an interview with Byron Davis of New Jersey metal outfit God Forbid. The band was playing a gig at a small bar called Whiskey Tango that I frequented for the better half of a decade. So, before their set at the venue, located in the northeast section of Philadelphia, I was able to pick Byron’s brain a bit. |

It has been announced that Former Mushroomhead guitarist and founding member John E. Sekula, known to fans as JJ Righteous, had passed away on Thursday, October 28 at the age of 41. JJ Righteous played guitar on Mushroomhead's first three albums which include 1995's "Mushroomhead," 1996's "Superbuick" and 1999's "M3." |

Legendary British heavy metal act Iron Maiden has revealed the dates for its forthcoming "Round The World Trip" as part of the "The Final Frontier World Tour." The new dates will see Iron Maiden play 29 shows and visiting 26 cities in thirteen countries, across five continents. The band's entire journey will be piloted by Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson in Ed Force One and will traverse over 50,000 miles. You can view the tour dates below: |

When this collaboration between Neurosis’ Scott Kelly, Melvins’ Dale Crover, Om’s Al Cisneros and Scott ‘Wino’ Weinrich was announced, the weight of expectation could hardly have been greater. After all, considering some of the jewels in their collective discography, who would dare bet against them? Wino alone has blessed the metal world with a string of great albums by The Obsessed, Spirit Caravan, The Hidden Hand and the legendary Saint Vitus. Neurosis and Melvins, meanwhile, have done much throughout their careers to broaden and break down heavy rock’s sometimes rigid boundaries. |
