Axeman Silenoz of DIMMU BORGIR fame tuned in on www.dimmu-borgir.com to supply the fans with news on the upcoming album and the recording sessions. "After spending the last months in pre-production for our new, as-yet-untitled album, we're quite excited to say the least and look very much forward to finally start the recording sessions once again with Fredrik Nordström at Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden in October. It will be a story-based album with lyrics written accordingly and music wise it'll be…let's see….hmmm… very DIMMU BORGIR! We can't wait to have this monster finished and share it with our fans as they have been extremely patient with us, but we promise — it'll be well worth all the wait! We'll be back with more news as things progress in the studio!"

Metal informants Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles are known for their weAs many of you may have heard, and we were sorry to learn, our former guitar player Lou 'Boulder' Richards passed away yesterday. It is very unfortunate that he could not see any other way to conquer his demons. We hope he has finally found some peace. Our hearts go out to Vera and his family and friends."

Richards appeared on the group's "Satisfaction is the Death Of Desire" (1997) and "Perseverance" (2002) albums before leaving the band in May of 2002.

HATEBREED earlier in the year welcomed guitarist Frank "3 Gun" Novinec (TERROR, RINGWORM, INTEGRITY) into the fold on second guitar. Novinec made his recording debut with the group on the band's latest CD, "Supremacy", which came out last month on Roadrunner Records.

Oakland underground innovators All Shall Perish just finished up almost two months of touring in support of their second effort for Nuclear Blast, The Price Of Existence, and next will embark on another run of dates starting in late October with Arsis and The Faceless the will last through November. Never ones to be shy of a heavy touring schedule, All Shall Perish are enjoying some much deserved time off at home after their long road stint with Suicide Silence and Light This City which hit the entire country.
The last tour was brutal, and amazing at the same time. We played to a lot of insane crowds and sold lots of merchandise, not to mention visiting a lot of new cities we've never played in," states bassist Michael Tiner. "The new record is doing well and we can't wait to get out on the road again. Our video for the song 'Eradication' debuted on 'Headbangers' Ball' last week too, so it's a cool time."
