Sweden's THERION has set Gothic Kabbalah as the title of the new album, due in early 2007. The band will team up with GRAVE DIGGER and SABATON for European tour beginning on January 17 in Essen, Germany.

THERION will play with a full symphonic orchestra, choir, plus international opera stars on December 9, 2006 at the Palace Hall in Bucharest, Romania.

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett and his wife Lani (photo) recently welcomed their first child, a son named Angel Ray Keala Hammett.
Kirk and Lani got married on January 31, 1998 in Kailua, Hawaii after his first marriage (to Rebecca) ended in 1990 during the recording of the band's "black" album.
As previously reported, Spanish METALLICA fan site CyberMETALLICA has uploaded several new photos taken during METALLICA's songwriting sessions for their upcoming album, tentatively due next summer/fall. Check them out at this location.
METALLICA's follow-up to 2003's "St. Anger" is being produced by Rick Rubin, who has previously worked with AUDIOSLAVE, SLAYER, SLIPKNOT, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. |

As they gear up for the November 21st release of their highly anticipated debut and the New Year’s Eve launch of their much-buzzed-about national tour, Rock Star Supernova have suffered a major setback with the loss of all-star bassist Jason Newsted.
The current Voivod, former Metallica member is scheduled for immediate surgery to repair a torn anterior labrum in his left shoulder and a rotator cuff and bicep tear in the right. Newsted suffered the injuries while trying to catch a 90-lb bass head that had fallen from atop his amp. The surgery will be followed by a lengthy rehab assignment that could leave him sidelined for up to nine months. Full story at TheGauntlet.com |

For any Death Metal act, success in the live arena is paramount. Each band is judged on its ability to deliver in front of a live audience, to re-create the musicianship forged on record into a precision live delivery.
